This game may be as good as everyone says, but my daughter wouldn’t know since she can’t use it until we receive an activation file by email. If the installation machine isn’t connected to the Internet (which my daughter’s computer isn’t), you have to email the company for an activation file. Since it’s Saturday afternoon, we’re stuck waiting until Monday (at the earliest) to get it. It’s a disappointment to order the CD and then not be able to use the game. As a software engineer, I am personally amazed at the amateurish nature of this system. They should allow 1-2 days of program use without the activation file for just this situation.

My son is 6 and quite proficient on the computer. Now he has to work to make progress, rather than play mindless games. This game makes him think. Highly recommend and I believe it really will improve reading. He is definately in to it just as indicated in the other reviews. Best educational game I’ve seen for the little ones.

my 5-year-old, Maxwell, always ask to play games, draw, (and of course watch TV…), from online flash games to xbox. as parents, we are sensitive and always want to ensure that Maxwell not only have fun but also ‘learns something’. ItzaBitza is an excellent game and education software in that sense as Maxwell would just spend time draw and watch the characters, mainly Sketchy, to interact and play with the objects that he draws; which is a unique and amazing technology that this software has. The software does an excellent job encouraging reading and doing math as part of the game play where a kid gets the clues by reading with assistance of cute voice over from Sketchy. The game aspect is too thoughtful and fun with little things that kids just simply love. For example, Maxwell learned how to draw lightening that would ‘zap’ frogs and bear, and he would just do it again and again tirelessly.
for less than 20 bucks, we think this is a wonderful educational investment for our kid, and best of, he has tons of fun thru learning!
